200 Models!!

Mads has just uploaded the 200th model in the official London3Dproject collection to the 3D Warehouse. There has been a lot more than 200 models uploaded since the setup of the project though, and we'd like to thank everyone who has modelled so far. The collection consists of the project's primary modellers and you can see it here - http://bit.ly/eziK4O

Now let's get two hundred followers on titter and 200 fans on facebook to match it!

Latest model in Central London...

Preview (in Google Earth) of the latest model to be uploaded to the 3D warehouse. Situated on Fleet Street, in Central London, this large model is helping to bridge the gap between Holborn and the area around St.Paul's. Feel free to download it from the warehouse for a closer look, or preview you it for yourself in Google Earth.

Thanks

Jack

Winner of Best Screenshot - Darren Davies!

The above is what we think has been the best image of London 3D in Google Earth in the last week. So thankyou to those who sent in their screenshots, and you can see Darren's image in the Blog header. Congratulations Darren!

New video

New video I have just uploaded to youtube. I know it's not very good quality, but just a quick look at London in Google Earth. Don't worry, I'll leave the videos to Mads next time haha.

New Executive Modeller

Throughout the project, Matt Robinson aka 'Supertall Robbo' has put in a massive effort in terms of modelling, to help get the project where it is today. We have decided to reward his impressive contribution, by giving him the title of Executive Modeller. We love give something back to the people that have helped, so thank you very much.

Wow...

Wow is all I can say. This view of London shows just how far the project has come. Would like to say a thanks to the modellers of the models in the foreground, and to Mads for the great work he has done in the City of London.

I'll hope you'll agree, this is the best London has has seen on Google Earth!

100 fans on facebook

When Mads gets 100 fans on our facebook page, people are open to ask one of our modellers, Matthew ('Supertall Robbo'), anything they want to ask. Lets make it happen.

Welcome to our blog...

As well as being able to follow us on twitter and facebook, we thought it would be good to keep you up to date with a blogging site as well. On here, we will have more lengthy news, and hopefully the odd article.

Thanks

Jack
